Day Two and I am still doing this...

Day 2 of this Blogging and I have learned a few things.. like how to use javascript..( It impressed the S**T out of my 6 year old) See the cool little countdown .. Cool to you... reality to me... or as my little guy said when he was initially impressed with the counter... "we only have that many more days!!!!"
Day started at 6:00am, well rested and relaxed from a nice night out with the Yan Clan, dinner at Charlie's lots of talk about Dot and the other fun things that impact our lives... Such as... Tuition, Ex-spouses and their lunacy, good service, bad service but all in all great food, great conversation and most important great friends!
8:00 am little guy ( the one previously impressed by my counter)... came into the office and greeted me in the usual way.. I'm hungry and I want... only to turn and head back to the couch for SpongeBob or who knows what.
The rest of the Clan is sleeping. So the calm remains for a few more minutes or hours... Than we go into full swing. Typical weekend... Basketball playoffs, birthday parties, Church and what ever else Toots has me do. I am sure their is a few honey do tasks that I will be given, not done and catch hell for later but it's all in a day and the life.

Off to race the the day and that counter.... tick... tick... tick...

Well the day is behind us and we survived! A little tired, battered and in Toot's case swollen and achy! If you thought I was floored by the amount of time left on the counter... You should have heard her when I tried to show off my new find Javascript skills. Something got lost in the translation of "I wrote this" and my God is that how much time is left. Little guy had a party and Big Sis had a play-off game... Toots and Dot attended both. I lucked out and only had to coach. We lost but it was a valiant try. Still better than sitting in a room full of bounce arounds with a bunch of 6 -7 year olds... Toots is a trooper...

I was informed that she is done with the cleaning of the "nest" and is going to hire back a cleaning lady... Seems she just doesn't like the way I clean... ( something never change)... Being done with cleaning the nest will leave her more time to fuss and worry over expanding the nest and yes, decorating and redecorating.... That honey do list from this morning...now includes a dead line that is shorter than the amount of time on the dam counter... Should have wrote the counter than destroyed... it will be my "down-fall" as I try to complete everything before the bundle called.. ( Not yet) she is still just Dot arrives.

Off to bed to listen to Toots moan about her pain.. Yes I feel sorry for her and realize what a wonderful thing that pregnancy is and how tough it is on her... and that I only have 48 more days to deal with I can't sleep... only to hear.. that "you" can't sleep cause it is your turn to take care of Dot... Hear it now.. " I carried her for 9 months.. it is your turn..." no problem there, love that aspect of fatherhood.. just hope that for the next 9 months, I can moan and groan in bed while making all sorts of noises with out getting kicked or punched...

I am a lucky guy to have a wife like Toots and two wonderful kiddos... they are my sunshine each and everyday... Their will only be more love, smiles and happiness as 4 become 5. Yes.. Yes... and more screaming, yelling... but it's family!

Good night...
