What do I mean... Day before Friday is... .not a test.. but in my young crazy days... Thursday night was always.... Lady's night at the clubs/bars. This blog to date really has been about the current and future lady's that make up the Clan home-front... Every night is lady's night for the Little Guy and me... The dance of pleasing the woman folks is a losing battle.... no matter what we (little Guy and I) do we are wrong, incorrect, not paying attention, absent-minded or just us... But we enjoy dancing...
Day started off quite.... still some what sulking mood of Big Sis. Little Guy was right back into DS mode, asking, whining, crying that he wanted to take it to school. Big Sis, smiled and ate today but she was awfully careless with her Ipod... seems she dropped it a few times, hinting/asking if is broke would it get replaced. Toots already has said,if it she breaks it on purpose she will be grounded until Apple comes out with kpod and forced to use Toot's old Sony Walkman. Yes in the basement alongside the other stuff we might need some day is a collection of cassette tapes... A lot can be said about the a person based on the cassette/albums/Cd's they never throw away... Anyway, big Sis seems Ok, Little Guy is happy and Toots is leary that the whole mood thing is not over.
Toots was out of the house getting her hair done in preparation for Saturday. Like my Grandmother use to say... "She looks the rent..." She does look great, but than she always looks great....
Kids came home and like I thought.. no issue... Big Sis was fine... She joked and had a little sarcastic edge to herself most of the night... While I know the "fun" is ahead for us as she moves into her teens... We can rest assure that she won't be the one in the corner afraid and that her personality will make her a leader not a follower. Little Guy, was as sweet as ever... he burst through the door, rushed to the kitchen and... went for his DS... He eventually made it around to hugs and kisses... Dot will be lucky to have two sibling like Big Sis and Little Guy teaching her the ropes...
Dinner was great, fun conversation, lots of laughs and goofing around. Big Sis mimicking Toots.... Had us on the floor... As she said.. "it was a real knee slapper"...
Toots is back on the pedal...making bumpers and such... She is in the groove now... my bet is she will be finished tonight or tomorrow... Big fear is than what..... What will she do next.... what is the next nest item on the mental list... what type of controlled disarray will I walk into tomorrow.
Day is wrapping up.. I think it was a good one... we started with two kids and another one 46 days away... and finished with the same amount and one day closer... Good parenting
Keep those cards and letters coming..
