Friday.... We made it..

Yes we made it to the end of the week, all 10 fingers in tact and only a little battle scarred. The big issues of any given day, really turned into little nothings, lessons to be learned for the next time we have the same crisis. Actions and reactions will be etched in the memories of all but soon will be replaced by new actions and on and on....

The big thing is that the counter over there has retired 6 days... Leaving 44 days until we can hold our bundle of joy in our hands. It is truly amazing what Toots needs to go through for this miracle ( Without the help of a glue gun). Even through the fast pace of the week, she never loses her glow or that inner smile.... To watch her pat her stomach when she thinks no one is watching is sweet...not that I ever forget.. but it does remind me why i love her so.... The kids like Mom... are savoring the time..

So it's Friday! First Friday for that matter. which means kids have church in the morning and Toots will attend. ( You think the countdown is amazing.. how's this for a stat... based on the math of a a friend... we will be doing 13 more years of First Friday Masses, Christmas Bizarre...... ) I get out of going today cause of that thing that I do all week long.. work.. more typing and talking as we wrap up the week. From a work standpoint it was a good week, lots accomplished and a lot more plotted to the 'task" map for the upcoming weeks. So for the morning, it will be me and the hounds hanging in the office....

Prior to the departure of the clan to Church, the morning again ran smooth, two showers and a bath, still hot water and no shouts.... everyone in place at the right time... Little Guy was allowed to bring his DS on the bus today.. with a reminder from Toots that if this one gets broken, there will be no more... Little Guy in his wisdom said, "I know... I will have to get the new DSPlus.. cause they don't make the DS lite anymore"... When reminded that is not what mom meant.. that she would not spend any money on a new one... He responded.. "No problem.. I will get a job at Burger King"....

Before I go on with the day recap and nightly close... Please remember just because it is the end of the week does not mean it stops... noooooo.. this life is a vicious cycle that never ever stops... No rest for the weary... Saturday is full swing... parade, party, Easter egg hunt... and i am sure lots of what are we doing next.. I'm bored... The break should be Saturday night... kids will be tired, Toots will be tired... Sunday will be another bright and early day for Church.. Palm Sunday... where we spend the entire time in mass getting hit with palm pieces, watching sword (palm) fights or asked to make them into a cross, picture frame.... or what ever shape the kiddo's imagination conjures up... More on the palm fronds on Sunday...

Busy day on the home front... seems one of Little Guy's friends has Fifths Disease... A no nonsense viral infections for for kids... Not a major concern for Dot ( Concerning only in the first 20 weeks) but Toots still went and had blood drawn to see if she has it... Little guy isn't showing any signs... Toots should be fine... If she comes back positive, than the rest of us will get checked...

Toots and Big Sis had a mini fashion show... seems Big Sis now fits into some of mom's skinny clothes... Man I am in trouble... Little Guy hit the front door like it was revolving door... grabbed some food and back out to play with friends. Glad the weather is changing.. gives the kids a chance to actually play outside... Big Sis went to a sleep over B-day party that she wasn't sleeping over over at. Big thing about this little party is she gets to watch "Twilight", Toots wasn't happy but she gave in... I asked Little guy if he wanted to go to the movies.. he decided he would rather... sleep... And that he did.... sound asleep by 9:00pm.

Toots went upstairs early to rest her sausages. The littlest bit of running around causes her feet to blow up like balloons. Like moss on a tree trunk, you can tell how tired and what her mood will be like based on the size of her feet/ankles. Me I hung downstairs... enjoy the peace. had to stay up so I can pick Big Sis up around 11:00pm.

Learned something new today... Toots is buying a Moses basket... not sure what Moses will use if Toots buys his basket but she is getting one so she can float Dot down a river... no no.. so she can take Dot out of the bassinet in the dinning room and place her on the floor in the family room... Can here it now.. Dam dogs... What's next a Noah's boat for when she gets bigger... I am amazed how much all these baby things have changed in just 6 short years. Last time around a pack-n-play was enough for the downstairs confinement area. Now we are buying biblical baskets. I know Dot's first few months will revolve around sleeping, eating and making deposits in between. Guess this is the reason Toots has spent so much time on sleeping stuff... The crib's bumpers and skirt look great! The blanket will be done soon... Still don't know what the next nest item is but I would venture to guess that it will be along the lines of "pimp" my Moses basket...

Wrapping the day with a trip to pick up Big Sis. Tomorrow starts with a baseball/softball parade and opening day for Big Sis. From Softball Mom and Big Sis will be whisked off for a day of the ladies hanging out... Little guy doesn't understand why they have to go somewhere else for a shower... I told him don't ask, let's just be glad all we have to do is drop off and pick up...

Thank for hanging with us this week, Keep the cards and letters coming and I promise to continue this until Dot arrives...

Good night.
