Please Stand-by We are Experiencing Technical Difficulties

Not sure what happen to my last two posts... You don't know what you missed, some of my best stuff ever... I will attempt to recapture the wit and wisdom of the past few days, worse case...I will recap the long weekend and the events that make a holiday more like work.

So with the start of the long Holiday weekend we saw the end of Camp Dot. No more sleepovers for out of town travelers. Since the "Arrival" we have been blessed to have our parents experience the newest of their granddaughters, the awww moments of seeing them hold the baby or when Big Sis or Little Guy do something cute. We have heard 1,000 times over from them and all other... "that the best part of being a (fill-in the blank) is that we get all the benefits of having a baby around but they stay when we leave". From here on out until the baptism, it will be daycare, with only day visits and just stopping by to say hi! Not sure what is harder on the routine, planned and prepped over nights or the unexpected guest just stopping by... either way they are always welcomed. Again we are grateful for the long journeys they all took to be part of this and equally thankful they all made it home safe and sound! We are glad you all came.. but also glad you have a place to go home to....

So the weekend.... across many of my post I have mentioned the need for Sun, the anticipation of the beach club opening... well it came... and went.. but in between, we accomplished what we set out... Truck was packed and unpacked.. Thank goodness the weatherman got it wrong this weekend, where it was suppose to be damp and gloomy, it was actually hot and sunny... Saturday started with Big Sis All-Star game.. followed by a quick trip through the beach club.. Toots by the pool with Dot.. .me on the sand with the kiddos...Little Guy aka the Mayor was back in full swing... checking up on how things and people changed over the long winter... Big Sis found herself back in the lion's pack.. hanging with all her friends from school... We ended the day with an all night impromptu BBQ with the neighborhood...Way I see it this year will be a breeze.. Dot isn't going anywhere.. the kiddos are of the age they can actually with minimal supervision and respect for the lifeguards manage their whereabouts at the club... leaving me and toots some time to sit back an relax... Next year... Toots is going to be real busy chasing Dot around... Sunday was a dry run of me alone with just the Little Guy... for a few short hours,he hung and played with about three different sets of friends.. on my whistle he packed it in and tagged along with me to pick up Big Sis... Monday was the unveiling... Dot and the titanium, 4X4 stroller from hell made their first appearance on the beach... While it didn't come close to being sprung from cages... it did handle the sand nicely... and was noticed the same way a new car gets the once over when it makes its way to the driveway... In a few years with a few tweaks the stroller from hell might just server a future purpose as a beach cart... Toots also had her share of stares.... Had more than one person approach and say no way did she just give birth... Even while having my start of the season cigar with the Judge... he said I was a lucky guy...

Yes Toots you still got it..

So I am still thinking on the whole race with Dot... see if I can lose the same amount of weight she gains in a year... Working the logistics of tracking.. cause it is needed... while Toots may be back to her prepregnancy weight... I haven't achieve that goal yet... So as soon as I figure out how to post/track these numbers I will start... My goal to myself is to start no latter than Friday of this week... which if my posting keep up will be on a blogging milestone... my 5oth post... good place to start... I am still up for other to join in.... maybe start a pool for some funds... think on it and leave a comment if you want to join in on the challenge..

I talk a lot about memories and stories... While sitting on the beach this weekend.. looking down along the shore... I compared the pictures in a series of books a friend gave me to current look and feel.... For those that don't know or slept through history that day.. .the Jersey Shore in the late 1800/early 1900's was the place to be... the American Rivera... The huge hotels are gone... with only pictures and post cards as reminders... what I was musing on was that the people from that era really went through and lived the same battles we are living now... there was those that were untouched by the changes in the world.... there were those that made do and those that fell by the wayside... the cycle continues and bad becomes good.. good becomes bad... but we survive and find our little piece of comfort...

A little jumbled and convoluted today as I try to recapture the thoughts gone by... I promise to post the "lost Postings" if they return.... I will posting some pictures this week...

Have a great day... keep the letters and cards coming in... thanks for stopping by... Be good.
